You have revoked your certificate or entered the wrong email address when purchasing.

Problem

  • You have purchased a Digital ID Certificate for Secure Email and entered the wrong email address.
  • You have revoked your certificate due to installation issues or key compromise.

Solution

If you have entered in the wrong email address:

Certificate data cannot be changed after it has been written to the certificate.  If it could be changed, this would negate the security of the certificate.  In this case, a new certificate must be purchased.  Unfortunately, it is stated on the order form in bold, red font that All fees paid or payable are non-cancellable and non-refundable.  This means that we are unable to provide a refund for the certificate that was purchased in error.

 

If you have revoked your certificate and need a replacement:

It is stated on the installation page that the Revoke feature is to be used only if you plan to permanently terminate the use of your digital certificate.  Once the certificate is revoked, you will not be able to replace.  Instead you will have to enroll for a new certificate at cost.  After revoking, a new certificate must be purchased.

 

In both cases, a new certificate must be purchased.  That can be done here.
