Install CA Certificate

In order for your Symantec Managed PKI Service applications to use certificates issued by your Certification Authority (CA), the CA's certificate must reside in those applications.

Client Applications

Direct your subscribers to the Install CA link in the Digital ID center. If they are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, they can choose to Open this file from its current location when prompted.

Server Applications

To set up a secure Web site using client authentication, you must enable SSL3.0 for your Web server.

  1. Go to the Control Center.
  2. Click Configuration in the navigation bar at the top of the screen.
  3. Copy the encoded version of your CA Certificate provided.
  4. Follow the instructions provided by your server software to install and trust your CA certificate.
